I was not inspired by anyone but myself. I've done this twice. Did not care about your opinion then. Don't care now. Don't need your attention or your co-sign. Don't want an edge up or a perm, because I'm not trying to make this "a style" or a statement. I just wanted to be free from the bondage that black women sometimes put on themselves with hair. This phase of my life I want to spend the time, the energy and the money on something else and not in the hair salon.I'm not mad at all of you that have made your opinions known and have sent negative energy my way. I'm a fan of Solange's music and I'm also a fan of her individuality. She takes alot of bullshit flack for not being like her sister, yet when she does her own thing people STILL hate it! The thing is, she's not a carbon copy of B or any other R&B chick so why is it a problem that she's making her own lane? Clearly misery loves company and Solo sent that bitch packin'!

I love it! It had to grow on me at first but I do applaud her for having the courage to pull the look off. in a society where women are all about hair and having long tresses down their backs it's good to see someone who is NOT her hair!
girl, i keep tryin to decide on wearing my hair natural and just being "free" but i dont have the guts to do this so i applaud her...she actually looks really pretty though
