It's official. I'll be turning 29 in 30 days. The realization has set in that I ain't no spring chicken and if I'm not careful this "coca-cola" bottle could easily turn into a 2-liter. Today was Day 4 of my workout plan and its beginning to get easier already. For me, I've never disliked working out, it was just the "getting started" part that was always difficult. Now, I've found motivation by way of my approaching b-day and wanting to look and feel great. My biggest target areas are my thighs and butt, followed by my midsection, and then my arms and back. I'm looking to gain strength as well as energy so that I can accomplish everything that I have lined up without breaking a sweat and look good doing it! One thing I've learned is that you have to do it for YOU--no one but you and I'm proud of myself so far.
I'll keep you guys posted on my progress...pray for me! LOL

In my quest to get myself in shape, I searched high and low for fun and exciting ways to work out. Although I'm exaggerating a little bit, LOL, I did find what I was looking for. "XXX-ercise" is a strip tease aerobics class that combines a super core workout and strip tease moves. This particular class doesn't include the pole, but please don't get it twisted; this is a REAL full-body workout and you WILL sweat, LOL! It's also a great way to unleash that inner sexy chick. You learn moves that will have your man...well, you get the point! I did it for the workout, but many of the ladies in the class stated that they also needed the confidence booster. The younger generation aren't the only ones taking these classes. The women in our class ranged in age from early 20s to late 40s and all had fun participating. The class is done with mid-tempo music and suitable for beginner to intermediate level. The instructor teaches you the moves, but you incorporate your own personality and make them your own.
For those that are interested and would like more information, please feel free to contact the class instructor, Carol Eden, at ceden@roadrunner.com. If you are looking for the pole workout class, she can also point you in the right direction. If you don't workout regularly, I recommend taking Carol's class first to build your strength before looking into the pole workout.
Now, I just might be ready to work that pole! I'll report back on how that goes down!
